Advancing Pediatric Medicine

The University of Florida Division of Pediatric Neurology believes in advancing pediatric neurology through the discovery, translation and deployment of novel research to leading-edge patient care while training the next generation of exceptional physicians and scientists. The hub of the division’s innovative care model is a set of subspecialty clinics that cover epilepsy, neonatal neurology, neuromuscular disease, spasticity/cerebral palsy and neurocritical care. This multipronged clinical care runs parallel with newly developed research infrastructure to design, test and translate new discoveries. The clinical mission of the division is served by unique expertise and infrastructure in comprehensive epilepsy surgical evaluation, autonomic dysfunction and regional outreach. The core goal of the division is to discover new solutions to pediatric neurological illness, deploy innovative approaches to the provision of leading-edge neurologic care, train the next generation of exceptional physicians and scientists, and develop community-based partnerships for immediate translation to North Central Florida, the greater Southeast U.S. region and beyond.
