Bahadir Samur

Dr. Bahadir Samur is a dedicated future pediatric neurologist and neuroscientist. He completed his initial pediatric residency training in Turkey and achieved board certification from the European Academy of Paediatrics. He subsequently continued his pediatric residency training at the University of Florida, where he further developed his clinical expertise in pediatrics and is now pursuing specialization in Pediatric Neurology. Throughout his journey, Dr. Samur was proudly inducted into AΩA, along with receiving additional recognitions. Beyond his clinical interests in neuromuscular disorders and movement disorders, his research focuses on the intersection of neurophysiology, gene therapies, and neurodevelopmental disorders, with a particular fascination for childhood development and the neuroscientific foundations that shape the developing brain. Outside of medicine, Dr. Samur enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the natural world, and indulging his lifelong passion for cartoons and animation. He dreams of contributing to an animation or cartoon project in the future as a neurologist—because, in his universe, studying the brain and creating imaginary worlds for developing brains are not competing passions. He is also an unapologetic Daniel Tiger and Harry Potter fan, proudly embracing the magic alongside the medicine.
